| This design/build two story addition was built next to the oxbow lake for a college professor and his family. The low lying site was flooded in 1993, however, the owners loved the views and wanted to stay. Architect Dan Hermreck and Michael Morley came up with a plan to keep the family on the land even through rising waters. The ICF family room has seven large sliding glass patio doors to open and let the waters through if need be. The SIP walls and roof for the second floor enclose two bedrooms, a bathroom and a sunroom. |
